Reading Series

 Some Series Reads of Late

1. Veronica Speedwell #8  A Sinister Revenge by Deanna Raybourn (2023) 

Love this well-written and amusing, tongue firmly in cheek, series. It is a fun and well researched offbeat Victorian series with a strong woman lead in lepidopterist Veronica, handsome yet oddball romantic and life partner, Stoker, and lots of interesting friends and pets. Read it in a second 😄, I very much enjoyed Deanna Raybourn's one off Killers of a Certain Age as well.

2. Sloan and Wrexford #6: Murder at the Serpentine Bridge: A Wrexford & Sloane Historical Mystery by Andrea Penrose (2022) 

Great Regency/early industrial revolution series with a moral center. Inspiring. Mostly mystery with a slowburn romance and engaging supporting characters! #7 is coming out in August.

3. Mike Bowditch #13  Hatchet Island by Paul Doiron (2022)

#14 is forthcoming in June. Set in Maine and really knowns its way around Maine, not just Downeast. Kind of hard charging. Mike is a half insane badass in a Game Warden's uniform. His exploits are a lot of fun. He has a half wolf dog for a pet! I just
